【English ver.】 ☞The hidden world of calligraphy
書や書道の周辺については、ここ２０年ほどの間に、誤った解釈がなされて
きたところがあります。
デジタル化が加速する社会、肉筆や筆記の習慣から離れてゆく現代において、
筆と墨という特殊な道具を使って文字を書いたものは、それがどんな様態の
ものかに関わらず「書」であると、そう思われている方も少なくありません。
今回、このような機会を頂いたことから、書文化における普遍的な美と書に
向けた書家の視点について、これまであまり語ってこなかった自身の経験も
交えながら、少し真面目にお話ししました。

Over the past 20 years or so, there have been some misinterpretations regarding the concepts of calligraphy and calligraphic arts.
In today’s society, where digitalization is accelerating and people are moving away from the custom of writing by hand, many people believe that anything written with a brush and ink, regardless of its form, is “calligraphy.”
Taking this opportunity, I have tried to convey my thoughts on the universal beauty of calligraphy culture and the perspectives of calligraphers, incorporating some of my own experiences that I have not previously shared very much, in a somewhat earnest manner.
