Migi-hane (upward brushstrokes to the right)

A proper readiness gives you a good start in making “hane” or upward brushstrokes. If you change a stroke direction with a quick movement or leave it to the momentum, your brush will be unstable. You are required to have the image of free and rich “hane” strokes, and to put pressure on your brush little by little, controlling the stroke speed.
